Ål Nik (Alexandra Nikolova) is an illustrator and visual practitioner based in Europe, working at the intersection of illustration, social impact, and visual documentation. She uses illustration, live drawing, and editorial art to help NGOs, cultural organisations, and nonprofits communicate complex ideas, particularly around human rights, political participation, and community. Holder of an MA in Experimental Publishing from Piet Zwart Institute (Rotterdam), she has collaborated with organisations including Emprove Foundation, Teach for Bulgaria, and Nomadways, contributes illustrations to the Unsplash+ community, and is part of the Blob Shop Collective. With her work, she aims to make difficult topics visible and open for dialogue.
