Naufan Noordyanto is a lecturer at the Department of Visual Communication Design (VCD), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia. He has conducted interdisciplinary research between graphic design and typography with a socio-cultural approach, design critics, and graphic design experimentation theory. For several years, Naufan has also worked as an independent graphic designer and graphic consultant, and has been awarded, invited, and selected in more than 180+ international art events, competitions, exhibitions, and publications, and no less than 20+ national art and design events. His works have been exhibited and presented in 41 countries. Naufan studied Visual Communication Design (VCD) at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta (Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta/ISI Yogyakarta), obtaining a Bachelor of Arts; then continued his studies at the Master of Arts Program majoring in VCD Studies. On several occasions, he served as a speaker, guest lecturer, or jury member in various national and international art and design events. He is also involved as a member of the local artist community in Pamekasan, Madura. He actively initiated local scale social projects to help local artists and students develop their abilities.
