After her graduation in the Arts in 2015, Joëlle Dubois showed her work in S.M.A.K. during Coming People 2016 and won the audience award. Since then, Joëlle has exhibited in Brussels, London, Germany, Taiwan & Australia. She also had a solo booth at Art Cologne 2019 and showed work at Art Rotterdam. Represented by Thomas Rehbein Gallery (Germany) Dubois examines the impact of social media without subjecting it to any explicit critique. She observes the (unusual) human behavior that she sees around her. Inspired by the constant stream of photos and video clips on the internet, Joëlle Dubois confronts the viewer with explicit scenes of private life.
